Lumenode is a platform for launching new ideas and research into sustainable product design, manufacture and use. From a small shift in thinking to a built physical form, Lumenode’s core goal is to promote a more humble use of the Earth’s Resources.

Lumenode aims to employ the latest design and fabrication technologies to create products that throughout their lifecycle will use less of the planet’s non-renewable resources, minimize impact on the surrounding environment and help the human race re-focus on the natural world.

Our core design principles are:

• Use of low impact materials; including non-toxic, sustainably produced or recycled materials.
• Energy Efficiency; efficient use of manufacturing processes and to create products which require less energy.
• Quality and Durability; design products that will be longer lasting, reducing maintenance and the need to replace the product.
• Design for Re-Use; once the products lifespan has been reached it can be recycled or re-purposed for another activity.
• Social Consequence; ethical products that are not exploitive, and provide a higher standard of living for the end user.

Lumenode has hands-on knowledge of the latest design methodologies and manufacturing techniques, having experience in the aeronautical, agricultural and mining industries.
